How would a DV affect an idling car? Unless it's boosting at idle?

Back along the pipe and over the compressor wheel, giving you the flutter noise you sometimes hear. Stalls the compressor wheel, and means the turbo has to spool up again, which is why people use DVs in whatever form - to keep the turbo spooled up and eliminate lag during acceleration through the gears.

got to do with the way they work at idle. basically the GT needed a twin piston DV to stop the car stalling at idle. most if not all cars with AFM/MAF's require a twin piston. it keeps the valve closed at idle not letting air out

igot a groupA dump valve

it runs smoothly and idles fine

everyone i know with dumpvalves (rangeing from rx7's to renault 5's) all run fine with em

i had a bosch OE one on my audi i was told to uprate it asap as they collapse.

admit i got a shed load of lag but i got a hybrid T3 on a 1.6 8V with kent cams so im gonna have the lag

if its a 1.8 20v t golf

uprate it due to the OE being crap (taken from audinet)

but a atmospheric one is a nono

as the management system relys on the boost going back

i was quite happy with the spooling up on my audi

I have a blitz BOV but does cause some idling issues but RX7's run much better with them.
