What does it mean when it flashes? turns over but wont start anymore? cars been stood for 6 months.

need to sort it by tomorrow. cheers

Yeah, it will only flash for an immobiliser fault.

any idea what it could be? the chip is in the key, it did fall out when i opened it but put it back in, the car started then cut out straight away at one point, are they hard to take out?

It's something to do witht he chip in the key mate.

I gave mine a whack and it was fine

tape the chip to the pickup ring. that usually solves it.

also make sure you dont have any other vaux keys with chips in on the same keyring, I did that once and struggled for hours with wiring only to find out that it was picking up the other chip first.

around the lock barrel behind the plastic shroud.
