I found yesturday that my car struggled to move in 2nd gear upwards! it would sound like the engine is starving and not move much at all. This morning when coming to start it, it truggled and wouldnt move withough stalling for 3 meters
I have read from some forums that the air flow mas meter has probably fukd which isn't to expensive to repair.

Does anyone know where the air flow mass meter is in the engine bay lol

Any advances of what the problem could be?? i need my car fixed

1.2 8v's don't have AFM's.

Get the headgasket checked.

Have you got white mayo on the oil cap? using any water?

theres no white stuff on the oil cap and the chamber is quite clean. i dunno how to chk if the water is being used, i have no overheating problems, the fan works and when i need heat i get constant heat from the temperature fans.

new news!!!
i got it started, took it round the block, the engine management light did not come on this time, but it sounds like its blowing loads, dunno whre, it shudnt be because of my k&n i flter, but it loses a lot of power

nah it sounded like it was blowing alot from the engine bay!!
the car is now runnigng loads beta, the engine management light comes on after half hour of drivin THEN after i have switched the engine off it can either be hard to restart or start as normal. Took half hour to start once last night, hasnt been too bad today but had trouble starting it at a petrol station lol

Ive had a smiliar problem with mine (x12xe) when you put ur foot down it pulls up to 3000-5000 and all of a sudden loses all power and the revs start to die and the EML comes on, ive changed the EGR valve and lambda sensor and its still no better, any suggestions?
