had the car jacked up today and the car fell off its axle stands (rear beam is on the floor) now when I try to jack it up, even with 1 jack on either side, it falls off before it's anywhere near wheel on height how can you do this?

Have you got it sorted yet mate?
Try and jack the car up enough to slide a steely under the gap.

Jack it up a bit, put something under it, take the jack out and straighten it, do it again til it's high enough, like Phil said
