Been offered some depo style headlights for really cheap but some of the clips are broken and iv got my MOT end of next month, was wondering if i glue them back on would it fail because of the clips? Or glue them and then tape around it because they cant remove the tape so wont know wether its broke or not

Why not use your standard headlights until you have passed the MOT, then stick the Depo's in after? Is it really that difficult?

Because my headlights smashed n glued back together, hence the reason for buying some more

Do you mean the clips underneath?
As long as the light is secure it should pass, if its loose and shakes tho it could fail.
In-secure headlight, could dazzle drivers if the light beam is shaking about...?

As said, the headlight can be held in however you want as long as it doesn't move around or aim too high/low.
Mine failed from the clips not being there though, as the lights wouldn't align properly.
How much are the Depos you've been offered? Remember they're only £50 brand new...

Pretty sure i could get my mate to plastic weld the clips back on. They are £15 but theyre not black theyre the same blue as my car. Most people will probably say not to get them but o well

Mine failed for the plastic clip not being there as it was insecure.. but 40p later it was sound. As long as they don't move at all you'll be fine.
