I'm looking to change ISP and they're offering what I think is quite a good deal of up to 8MB connection, unlimited downloads and free telephone calls for £19.99.
Just wondering if they're any good....

I use them mate, as does a friend of mine.

im getting 10mb installed next month. Rumour has it this will be upgraded to 20mb in June for free.........

Virgin Broadband is ace. I'm currently on 4mb with no problems.

It will be subject to a fair use policy...but thats basically as long as your not 24/7 constantly downloading...so for normal use you should be ok...

I have virgin and excellent unlimited service I'm on 4MB
they are also testing 50MB lines, i think...

well virgin do ADSL which i believe is up to 8mb and they also offer cable internet with different packages, 10MB currently being the top package @ £35 a month
Like said though, apparently they are going to upgrade 10mb users to 20mb and the rest of the package will follow an upgrade (ie: 4 to 10 i believe).
And yea they have been testing 50mb, they have also been testing 100mb. On top of that they have also been doing trials of traffic/download shapping (in swansea i believe) at peak times, (with the current 10mb) giving you 5MB during the day and then full access to the 10mb at off peak hours....

Was thinking about going with them when i was told they are now ADSL along with cable now as i couldnt get cable where my house is as its a new house.
will look into this i think as tiscali is getting rather pish the past few days
