stopped reading ages ago now it just looks like --/- has the sensor gone or just come loose? how hard is it to fix etc

Sensor is behind the front bumper... they often go. Easy change!

could also be the joint on the back of the MFD, they are common to go and cause this problem.

a bit of soldering solves it.

HEY! Mine did this when i got it. Took it to vauxhall and had it fixed. Cost £80 altogether which was abit of a rip of but i havent had a problem with it since.

yes £80! thats including the part, labour, vat and a diagnostic test to ensure that that was the problem.

they put it on diagnostic for a temperature sensor you got done there

No offence but I don't think we are the fools in this case. £80 to replace a temperature sensor

yeh well i pay for the guarantee aswell there. if it goes wrong again then im sorted! i cant be bothered goin to crappy garages i know its done properly at vauxhall!

Are you sure it wasnt the temp gague on the clocks that went (next to your speedo). Matt's asking about the one in the middle next to the date

EDIT: and yes Matt mine was the same. Bought the sensor from greenhouse vauxhall on Clough street for about £6 and it was fixed - should be able to see the sensor in the middle behind the front bumper

cool will have to have a look when im doing my wheels and sort it out then. oo btw is your car turqoise/green with astra wheels on it? parked up outside some houses near seat in stoke??
