ive always wondered about this, do all mods and i mean even the smallest of mods have to be declared in order to make your insurance valid! obviously if your going to do something to the engine or lower it or put wheels on you have to declare them and pay a little more but do things like colour coding your bumpers or maybe fitting a different rear bumper have to be declared?

sorry for the essay but always baffled me this has!

even the slightest thing? its just that if you bought a modded car of someone and then phoned up an insurance company you could be there all day telling them whats been done to the car, in the end im suprised they dont just say we arnt going to insure you there are too many modifications! you get where im coming from!

any major mods yes, obviously a new gearstick or mats wont be insured but even an air filter has to be declared as its a "performance part" and is "supposed" to increase the power.
