forget about viper, big waste of cash.

save the 250 towards somthing else. I'd recomed the dbalis (spelling) version. seen it make great power. 4-branch. PMC one come recomended. unichip with raised limiter, and an exhaust. that should see you with around 140hp

With all the money on those parts you could get yourself a 2ltr 16v conversion, 150-156bhp standard

er, you cant justify it like that fella... any modification you do to your vehicle has to be declared to your insurance company, simple as.

You tried getting quotes for insurance with a 2.0, a standard 1.6, and a 1.6 with the above mods? The 1.6 will proberbly only be a bit cheaper than the 2.0, and then once you tune it....

Also by the time you've put the 1.6 in, then spent the money on tuning it, you may aswell have just done the 2.0 conversion, and then put the money saved towards insurance.

Actually, just out of interest, when you put a 2.0 engine in, you have to use an induction kit, and a full system exhaust, so do you need to declare those seperatly, or would they be classed as part of the conversion?

yes indeed. remember I am older, married and have my own house.

as for the convertion. the exhaust and induction kit are part of the package. it would depend on the insuarnce company.
