I've heard that quite a few old c20xe's tap from cold, which mine does. Was just wondering if its worth doing a top end rebuild? Or is it not really worth it?
I think one of the oil ways is blocked but i'm not 100% sure. It also burns a fair bit of oil so i'd change the valve stem oil seals and re-seat the valves but I dunno if its worth the hassle?? Still goes well...

Its just because the weather has gone colder, mine does it first thing in a morning for about a minute then stops, nothing to worry about, i asked when i had the oil changed on sat.

my old astra GTE 16v tapped like a tap dancer on crack for the first 30secs of cold start...
she carried on tearing up the tarmac like that for 25,000miles untill I sold it
