Hey all, I havea tapping noise coming from the bottom of my engine. Any ideas ?? shells maybe ??

we are never going to guess by a vauge description like that and to be honest it could be as simple as anything from knackered bearings to something as serious as a knackered crank or conrod. get the sump off and have a look is your best bet
its the type of thing you need to hear / see the engine to diagnose.

okies mate  will take off the sump when i'm home in 6 weeks will just drive nicely for now ! lol

bottom end wont tap itll knock.
If its an x14xe i have come across a few trhat have had little ends gone that have sounded very tappety.
However it could well be wtaer pump/cambelt tensioner area.
