My 97 1ltr corsa gets VERY rattley/tappety when she is revved for any length of time such as driving on the motorway. Im no mechanic but if i were to guess (and it would be a guess) what it was i would say it sounds like its coming from the top end??

Anyone got any ideas?

She does eventually run smooth again after a few miles of slower less high revving driving.

All the 1ltr corsas I have seen have sounded like tractors

Oil is and always has been checked and topped up if needed.Also changed oil and filter recently.
Reading other posts on here im worried that there isnt enough oil getting to the top of the engine?
what can i do to check this?
