looking to keep the engine bay temperaures down by raising the bonnet slightly, has anyone does this? how did they do it? Pics and info would be great thanks

From what I've read it sdoesn't make much difference. Its a case of fixing the bonnet on to the hinge in a different place I think.

surely this would be dangerous? letting wind get underneath it and a bad hinge could end up GTA stylee with the bonnet flying up or off?

on some rs turbo's i iv seen they jus used aluminium blocks with holes drilled in for longer bonnet hinge bolts-

some people on here have done it in the past, its not really dangerous if done properly, tbh though i wouldnt bother as it wont make that much of a difference to performance

have you thought about manifold heat wrap and kenlowe fans to increase cooling?

my cousin just wacked a few washers on the closest bonnet bolts
closest to the windowscreen if this helps

that doesnt work too well, the hinges are angled on the corsa

if the hinges were flat like and rs turbo or a pug 106 gti, then yea, washers!
