Not sure about the post 97 ones, but pre 97's didnt (unless whoever had it to start with got it fitted). My 94 1.4 LS doesnt have power steering.

Merit only came pre-1997 anyway, and no it didnt. wasnt even an option IIRC base base pverty spec model was the Merit. didnt even have a full loom.

Autos did...

Well the 1.4 Merit anyway, they never did a 1.2 8v auto.

my post 97 1.2 8v LS has fek all doesnt even have a loking glove box

the merit was below the LS wasnt it?

The very first Merits didn't even have a bee-sting aerial as standard let alone a head unit to make use of it - they were optional!
