I am planning on getin sum new component speakers for the front, ive been told i have to amp these, if i also get a sub i need to amp this too, does this mean i need two amps or can you just use 1???? thanks

You can run speakers and a sub from one amp. Just look out for a 3/4 channel amp rather than a 2 channel.
Basically you should have one speaker to one channel OR with a sub you can bridge 2 channels which means that 2 channels are used to power the one sub.

Thats the kind of amp you'll be needing 
If you're thinking of getting an amp it could be worth seeing if anywhere does a package with a sub, box and 3/4channel amp (might work out cheaper)

What kind of a budget are you on?
As Planty said, you can get a 4 channel amp and bridge 2 channels. You need to check the specs of the amp to find out what impedance the amp will run at when bridged (the bridged channels will normally be ok into either 4 or 2 ohms). Then choose a sub to match that.

I a have around £400 to spend on the speakers sub and amp in total, could go a bit higher if there is something worth spending a bit more on??? Is there any speakers or subs you recommend??

i also herd that some 17cm speakers dont fit in corsa c's as they are too deep, do you know what the maximum depth the speaker can be is??? cheers
