What is better on a sub, it seems if its 4ohms the rms watt is lower and 2ohms the rms is higher.

how many are you planning on having ?? because with the impedence it depends on how many subs you want or how many voicecoils the sub has, how you wire them and what overall load is best for the amp.

Ah rite i see, Im only having 1 12" sub powered by a mono amp
been looking at this package Sub and Amp

that looks a good match cos the amp is just that bit more powerful than the RMS on the sub, which is ideal really...

Is it just a case of + of sub to + on amp and - on sub to - on amp?
Ive noticed jl audio do the same sub with different ohms for the same price?
I cant get my head round these two subs

you could buy number 1 and wire the two 2ohm voice coils in series, this would make an impedence of 4ohms and would match the amp nicely
OR
you could buy number 2 and wire up only one of the 4ohm voice coils
a popular misconception about dual voice coil subs is that you MUST use both coils, this simply is NOT TRUE.
both ways will sound the same so you cant go wrong
