I'm going to America tomorrow (bahamas to be exact) and need to know if my laptop will work

Obviously theres the difference in the type of plug used, but my dad says there's a diference in the voltage too

If this is the case, do i have to buy a different power cable for the laptop?

If not then i guess just a normal travel plug will work. I've used it in france and bulgaria no probs

Thanks

I charged mine in Mexico when there was a different voltage using just an adapter, took a bit longer to charge if I remember correctly.

You can buy proper leads for most of the laptops though that'll make it work for that voltage.

but the plug sockets arnt the correct voltage output in the uk for laptops, hence why it comes from the plug socket and goes into a transformer built into the lead and then a different outcome goes into the laptop.

so if in pricipal shouldnt this work any were in the world?

no idea about it lol just an idea, could be crap, cant be arsed to look it up either.

They are usualy 110-230v and work worldwide.
Should say it on the transformer.

yeah just had a closer look at the adapter and it says 100-240 on it. I'm pretty sure it'll work

Phew
