hi, having a let conversion just after max power live, need to get the car booked into the bodyshop to have the intercooler located.
Firstly, because i know next to nothing about them, wheres the best place to get them? Also, can i pretty much have it mounted in any location on the front bumper and then have the pipework made to fit?

Ideally i want quite a large on (dont we all) with the 2 samco pipes visible.

Any help would be great, heres a few piccys of the car http://www.gloynboyz.co.uk/modules.php?name=coppermine&file=thumbnails&album=159

thanks alot, Steve

best pic i have, got mine mounted to a frame, pipe work you can prolly do yourself, just with various 90 deg bends etc and some straight pipe. Best to have as much exposed as possible, rather than have a massive one thats half covered. Also keep an eye on ebay for intercoolers

looking @ your bumper the eds 8.1 litre would be a good choice, its long and short, would fit in the bottom gap mint, however is quite deep so not sure if it would foul on anything, only thing is i dno if you would be able to see the pipework or not either side

here is my nova one. the left hand side goes under the front panel and the right side goes through a hole in the front panel in to the wheel arch and up through the inner wing.

jamesw is your engine complete now i saw some progress threads but never anything to say it was done

still on doing bodywork, got rid of those horrible jap skirts for some subtle combat ones, just waiting on the sides to get painted. Engine runs, however i have the EM light on, due to what i belive is the lambda sensor, bought the wideband kit that muppetsport has just need to get it fitted. So how bruttle does the nova feel then?

iam still running it in sort of iam not keep ing to 3000rpm limit but iam not thrashing it either just slowing building up boost and changing oil regualrly

i need to play with the wastegate to get the boost about right but it certainly has potential

you don't want big just for the sake of it. ideally you want a tall thin one. the let does not use much boost but the flow will be differnt to that of a TDi.
