is there a special primer to use?

or just normal primer, then paint.

Etch primer will seal the bare metal surface

etch primer... is that zinc? halfords sell it but i cant remeber for sure.

is it ok to paint straight onto etch primer with normal primer then paint?

or do i just need etch primer then paint

In the past i have used etch primer then base coat on top

if its a rattle can your after its UPOL Acid 8 you need

We normaly
Etch Prime
High Build Prime (flaten one dry)
then top coat.....

as im sanding back the surface but where it isnt scratched i dont wanna take the wole area back to steel
