i appreciate someone only this week has asked how to clean a filter but there is obviously a difference between a normal piperx foam filter and a viper .

i know you are supposed to rinse them from the inside out , but but how do you do this properly with the carbon heatshield around it , would soaking it in water damage it

recommendations please

There isn't a difference, the filter elements are cleaned in the exact same way... You just need to dismantle it.
