as title - cars started to "chatter" for want of a better description as I accelerate; it gets fast as the revs rise - however the second you take your foot off the accelerator it stops - engine seems to be running fine!
Had a quick look, as I'm 200 miles from home for another week with no tools and the noise appears to be coming from either the induction kit or is echoing down the filter - hence Its soemthing to do with the air intake
The noice is kind of like a flap revurberating
could it be air mass meter or possibly jost something stuck in the filter?
as I said havnt had a good look yet - but noise only happens when the throttles depressed - not when the throttles released regardless of the engine revs at the time

you sure its coming from the air filter/pipe? i had something similar to this, turned out to be the alternator chattering away. might be worth a look?

i had same problem as corsa munky
just got annoyed with it and cained it down some country lanes taking it to 6k .... sorted the problem tho :d

turned out to be.........
Manifold Gasket
mechanic sworem at me this mornig cause he had to drill out the bolts!
He's a fucking mechanic, I fucking paid him to do the work - then he swears at me TWAT

pinking??? which means timming may be out slightly which leads to detonation!!!

no was manifold gasket - got it back yesterday all shiny clean and fixed
