hey peeps,my brother has a gsi and has cracked his sump by going over a brick in the middle of the road, it has left his sump panel with a big slit in it, have rang vaux but its nearly £200 for a new one, and have rang a few places to try and get hold of one but no luck so far, unless we find someone splitting a gsi engine then i dont see how were going to get hold of one,any idea's please, maybe its best if he just gets a 20xe engine put in,as he was thinking about it anyway. any idea's anyway, please help, cheers. It will be aluminium on the 16v engine though? Just get one off of a 1.4 or a 1.6 from a scrappy, they are both the same.
I bought a brand new Vaux sump for my 2.0, i cost £120...
