Could a blocked or old oil filter cause this?
got an oil leak, coming out the sump after a run and that was changed not long ago :boggle.
also drops onto the starter motor, pipes look fine tho.

It could leak from the oil filter... Though you would have changed that when you did the sump gasket?

 na didn't do that lol as the car was not going to be moved for a while i chose to do that at a later date.
