Aslong as they're on the side away from the engine and before the filter, then they'll be fine.

Yes, the side that the air goes in from the cold air feed thing. That way, whatever air gets sucked in still gets filtered.

It wouldn't hurt. You'd increase the amount of cold air taken in, but it shouldn't be too bad anyway if the holes are away from the engine.

Why do you want your car to be louder?

Drilling your airbox makes it sound like youve got an induction kit and a small bore exhaust - I've done it and Im happy, however, a bigger bore backbox will increase the noise further and make it deeper.

There is actually a piece of plastic you can unclip from the box facing into the wing - this can then also be replaced when selling etc. It wont do any damage tho

Yes atm - on a 1.2 8V Sounds fairly good for a tiny wanky engine tho! Will be gettin a Magnex Small Oval fitted soon though Add me to msn and I'll contact u via that
