when they did a paperclip test..

what did you do to resolve it?

my car starts and runs so the sesor cant be broken...

il give it a clean tommorow as ive got all morning off to do so..

yeah i was gonna have a go tonight.. but im gonna have to jak the car up and have a look for it...

was bit too dark to start jacking car up etc... will it be under the cam cover?
will i need to remove the cam cover to get to it?

as in the pic on that thread, its on the cam cover side nearest point to the floor. no need to remove anything.

ffs... was going to get under the car today and guess what!! it starts snowing lol spoken to local mechanic and he says its prob a fucked sensor.. will need to be replaced :boggle he reckons thats what was going wrong with my mate "mad4corsa's gsi..

if sensor was broken its likely it wouldnt start at all. check it over first.

ok..
got morning off tommorow so il get the car up and check it..it still starts fine..
would the fact that its low on petrol make a differance?
