I am looking to mount the amp for my front components in the boot of my Corsa B, against the left-hand side by the sunk in section, which is where you access the passenger tailight. I will be cutting and carpetting a piece of MDF that will fit nicely into the gap, and hopefully in the same colour as the boot carpet so it will look almost factory.
However, I don't know how to mount it so it will stay in postion there, without falling over and without drilling holes in the car. If possible, I want the mountings to be hidden, as like I said I want it looking factory fitment.
I have the Haynes Corsa midifying manual, and they have done the same thing. However, it doesn't really show how they have mounted it, and in the pictures they show I don't understand how they can access the bolts once the MDF panel is in place.
Sorry about the essay guys, just need some help as I want to start building it next week.
Thanks a lot

You need to make one small hole in the car.
I've used an 'L Shaped' metal bracket to hold that up, one screws into the MDF and the other screws into the seat back thing. Look where the seat back meets the plastic there is a bulb type holder for the seat back to lock into position. Ive screwed it in just below the bulb thing into the plastic. Holds it up fine

ok, that looks good mate!
but in the manual, they stated specifically that they didn't make any holes in the car at all, but used an L bracket onto the light monuting bolt. Do you think they just bolted through the carpet and MDF onto the L bracket, then mounted the amp afterwards?

Probably. My way is just easier and you dont see the bracket or the hole anyway

But where did you make the hole? I want to be able to put the car completely standard when I want to sell it eventually.

You know the bit of plastic highlighted in red where the seat back meets up against and locks onto?
Onto that.

Oh, so even if you took the amp rack out, you still wouldn't be able to see the hole because of the seat against it?thats cool, I'm just not sure if my racking will be that big as I only have a small JBL amp powering them.
