Its a 1997 R Reg 1.2 8v Corsa B!
Looking at it..it looks lik i cnt put a cone air filter on it..i wanted a pipercross XL.
So i might just drill my box a fit a performace air filter.
What else can i do to my engine?

There is nothing to do, leave the engine, until you can afford to insure something bigger.

I believe many people put cone filters on these engines but space does look tight.
since all smallblock XE engines use relatively the same setup, go for the 1.6 16v, engine may cost more to source and purchase though.

You may aswell leave it now, otherwise would have been better off buying one standard.

CorsaCF's engine isnt an XE though, its an SZ, and a cone filter will probably lose it power.
engine and gearbox should sent you back around £250 for a decent example. , but you will also need to think about upgrading the brakes and suspension a little, also dont forget you will need an MPi fuel pump

Yes an Air filter on Grass cutter 1.2 engines make them lose power + when pulling away in first gear it'll prob go very flat or nearly die!
