i recently posted a topic about my car cutting out about a month back and can be read http://www.corsasport.co.uk/board/viewthread.php?tid=241619 and i have recently taken it to my local garage, they ran loads of tests etc, couldnt find the problem if it didnt do it while it was in there, and sods law it didnt do it. but from everything i had told him he said it was the ignition module, sounds like it was overheating hence why when it cut off i had to wait half hour or so for it to start again. so i have swopped that part and for just over a month now i have had no problems cutting out which is great.

My question now is when ive been driving no matter how long when i pull up at lights or stop basically, its really lumpy when im idling, now it doesnt happen as much when i havnt got the heaters on or the lights, happens more at night when i have heater on 2 and lights on main beam, the engine tone really dips low when i turn all these on, i was thinking alternator? but does anyone else have any suggestions on this,

For example last nite i was dropping some people off and when i come to a stop and put my clutch in the engine starts to really beat hard if that makes sense to anyone, i carnt find any other way to describe it, then a cupple of seconds later it picks itself back up but ticking over lumpy.

Any help will be great
Thanks Ste

how old is the battery? when my battery finally gave up a few months ago, my car actually cut out while coming up to a junction. Try a simple voltmeter test across the battery maybe?
