Hi,

Is it possible to wire something (in this case a TV screen) so that it DOESNT come on when the car is on. And will only work when the car is OFF.

I'm not doing it, but i need to know if there is a way of using a combination of wires already existing in my car, or if it involves many sub circuits and components.

Thanks.

Martin

Its as simple as wiring the earth of the TV screen to the handbrake switch as the handbrake is only used when the car is turned off in most cases.

Was just going to say wire to the handbrake.... You might want to use a relay though.

Also that just means your stopped... I.e pull handbrake on to stop at a junction your screen will come on.
Theres another way round it... but a bit more complicated.
Il explain if the above isn't sufficient.
