does anybody know much about fuel temperature sensor?

I've had a few problems with my car for the last 6 months and someone i know suggested it might be this. Has anybody else experienced anything to do with the above?

i had similar problems with mine recently mate! my car would choke at traffic lights and junctions when i was pulling off in first gear, and then it gradually got worse, it was choking every time you changed gear! called the AA out and he fiddled with something down behind the engine, am sure he said it was the temperature senser, and it ran perfectly after! almost like he knocked it back in place or something!
