Just make sure you can manage if the rates go up, or fix for a while.

bank of england have meetings on the first thursday of every month to discuss rates

the bank of england have maintained base rate of 4.75% all year until 4th august when the rate dropped to 4.5%

at the beginning of last year base rate was at a low 3.75% and then rose 4 times throughout the year

word is the rate may drop again this year

try bristol and west. exellent for first time buyers. fixed rate of 4.45 at the moment.

DONT go 100%!!! its a very bad way of buying a property. higher rates and a lot more difficult to get out of at the end of the fixed term.

Agreed, once your fixed period ends each 0.1% rise means something like £60 extra a month. Mine is fixed at 4.29% for 2 years

Already been valued as it stands for 85k, with more to be added once the bathrooms finished and the other bits are done!

Have been unbelieveably lucky as we had alot of things at trade price, and richies friends have plastered, carpeted and (going to) hang all the doors for not very much £££ just alot of love and bacon sarnies

bought for 67k, spent 7k doing it up = 74k, 11k profit atm with more work to be done

am very proud, but wouldnt of done it without help from family and friends!
