i have an RE sub, which will run at 1000wrms.
fairly loud i think.
so i'll need some good components, yes..?...
so, i also have a 2channel amp.
this is 125wrms per channel @4ohm
COOL, how ever, component wise i have,
DLS PS6 slim line
Speaker type : 2-way system
Power handling capacity : 50 W RMS / 80 W max
Tweeter : 25 mm (1") tweeter
Sensitivity : 92 dB (1W/1m)
(i have highlighted the problem. Is this, or is this not a problem?)
Bearing in mind i will need it to go loud to keep up with the large sub in the back.
i'm worried these will fry as i turn up volume to show off my sub...
Soooo.... should i stick with these,
will they fry?
or should i look for higher WRMS three way components?
please help me fairly soon.

they wont fry if you set a sensible gain on them

cool... but surely when i turn up my sub to almost max volume, wont the comps be all ghey and struggle.
Or if i turn it up so they dont struggle, then surely they'd be over powered at low volumes..?
so i shouldnt sell then then, keep with them?

well the sub will have a higher undistorted level than the components but thats not unusual. If i were you, i would give the current speakers and amp a go and decide from there.

the fat the wrms of the comps is less than half of that from the amplifier... ...eeek..

must admit mate, im not likeing the whole idea of 'just giving it a go'

120wrms 180 max. GOD knows how much they cost though.
