Need some new suspension soon.

I dont want coilovers, so no FKs

Im interested in bilstein yellows and koni yellows or reds.

Can anyone offer any advice to which is better and for what reason, im looking for a firm ride but i dont want it crashy!!

Dont want to spend more than £500 really, but if its worth it i can stretch to it!

All advice welcome please

Oh and best places to buy them from, i swear demon tweeks are having a laugh as they want £500 fro the koni yellows, swear OVd used to sell em for £350 IIRC

I'm running adjustable Koni shocks with eibach springs and they are nothing short of superb. Also, because they're adjustable - you can choose how stiff you want the ride.

Yes, PVD did used to be a good company and had good deals, but the boss run it into the ground. Shop around Jambo, i'm sure you can get them for a good price.

Yes, I can imagine there would be a fair bit of bodywork mods needed with those springs

what springs would you reccomend for higher poundage? Wit hgood ride quality, dont wanna really go lower than 50mm, 40 would do fine. Eibach?

Yellows are adjustable reds are not. Eibach are a 40mm drop - look @ the pics of mine on the links below.

I got my shocks @ Max live 2003 and got 20% off - they cost £260(ish) and the springs were around the £120 mark.

I'll speak to Merseyspeed tomorrow and see how much they could get you a set for.

bilstein (proper shocks) and eibach go well but are expensive U2U Andy for what he thinks. if you want adjustable shocks then I would go for the proper adjustable koni's. although for £500 you could get the coilovers

Yes but £500 coilovers aren't gonna give as good a ride as a £500 shock and spring set up. If I was gonna go for coilovers, I'd spend a few hundred more than that. Coilovers are more suited to track days than everyday road use.

andy switched for Gaz coilovers. said they were loads better than the billies/eibach.

yeah well I doubt jambo is going to drive like Andy does

his car stuck to the road with that combo so god knows what his new set up is like

koni/Eibach is what I would go for.

corsa B is £299 for the shock/spring kit or £250 just for the shocks + Eibach springs £135 from Larkspeed

FK's HighSport (£500 coilover) kit is designed PURELY for road use and give excellent ride quality over other kits (both coilover and non-coilover).
If you take them on the track, you'll be disappointed as yes a £500 shock and spring kit is going to outperform the FK HighSports.
FK's track coilovers are the Konigsports.
