Hey, Where my backbox is attatched to my car, there is a metal rod/clip thingy sticking out, and when I accelerate (particulaly round corners), this rod scrapes my backbox and makes a really bad squeeking sound. This is annoying, and cant be good for my backbox, so what is it for? Why is it there? and can I chop it off?
Heres a pic, the rod is the thing on the left.

move ur backbox further up the centre section and thus away from the bracket
ur box looks quite rusty though so you'd be better off going for a new backbox cos it'll be a slag to move

Does look a bit rusty doesnt it, acording to the prev owner, it was only put on about a month before I got the car, and that was only last July :?
When you say move it up, how do I do this?
