ive had mine for 8 months now and not touched it - does it have to be maintained, lubricated etc. ? if so how often?

should be cleaned and re-oiled, says every 50,000 miles on the box, i do mine whenever it looks dirty and brown/black instead of red

cost about £3 a tin and you get LOADS.
dunno how much the k&n recharge kit is, but imagine it will be a lot more cash for a lot less product!
