Pretty sure the Kappa in the next range up TBH and so better!
The spec is better on the kappas!
170mm and 17cm is the same size just one in imperial and one in metric! And so they are both the same size!

Go for the kappas buddy.
If you're gonna mount the crossover in the door then try ur best to get some new speaker wire to it. If not, wire the crossover in the kick panels or something, and mount the tweeter on the dashboard by the windscreen in the corner. Thats where i had mine and they sounded
Also yes you need a headunit with 2 preouts unless that alpine amp has an input and a RCA output, but i dont think it does.

just my 2pence worth, go for an amp alittle more powerful (100w-110 etc) - infinitys are pretty stable and solid speakers, so you can push a few (thats a few!) more watts into them no probs Plus you'll have more over head for distortion/clipping etc.

u can chuck as much power in as u like as long as your sensible with the setup.
My 80w RMS focals get 200w RMS a piece and its great. Just kep the setup sensible and no problems.
