I honestly dont think they will. I couldn't get 14" steelies over the standard GSi brakes

As for your options I think the only real advantages would be drilled/vented discs, some braided hoses and decent uprated pads

right well, i am holding on to a slim hope that i can get a 2l conversion, and ofc the required brake upgrade. but i want to keep the car as standard as possible (gsi alloys and all)

yes they will

only difference between corsa gsi brakes & astra gsi ones is the discs are a few mm thicker

the discs are still 256mm in size tho...

I had 2ltr brakes on my sport with standard sport alloys, the 3 spoke type ones.

just try it.... if they dont fit just add spacers... it will be tight but you may get away with it.....

yes cos then I can believe what I have been told & do it myself, although pretty pointless as all thats different is the width of the discs

so there is no dif in size of the disk excpet for width, the calibers and pads are bigger? and its essential so as not to kill yourself after doing a 2l conversion?!

wheels are fine to keep with a 2.0, as long as they have good rubber around them! As for the discs, contrary to what PaulW says about being pointless, the Astra GTE calipers, are ATE type ones, and far superior to standard GSi/Sport discs, Astra ones are 256x24mm, and Corsa ones are 256x20mm. the astra ones dont fade half as much as the Sport ones when trying to scrub off a lot of speed. well worth doing IMO
