first off, I cant find the info with th gear ratios forthe F15 box in my GSi...

also what calculation do I use to work out the speed of the car from the RPM & tyre/wheel dimensions??

tried searching thenet, cant find shit

Thing is - The reason speedo's are out at high speeds is because the tyres expand. thus making the rolling diameter different.

hmmmm my speedo seems to be pretty accurate then... worked these out & compared to what it was reading earlier on the motorway...

Site I posted was if you could find the gear ratios in the box you were wanting to do it for.

says 7000 rpm in 5th is 147mph, my limit is 7200. lol, i hit the limiter in 5th and its doing about 140 on the clock........ i say abotu as my clocks only go to 130.....

Dont be afraid to nail it man, ya gotta at least take it to above the standard top speed of 121 on a private track of course

u have to remember that my corsa is the merit model... it was only ment for carrying grannys to the shops.... although granted there not alot of the orignal car left....

my gsi pulls 135 mph thats at about 6500-6750

lee.....does a unchip make any difference up to the gears? torque? or does it just add bhp?

i have a manztel but still on OE ecu.

private road last night, ~6300rpm - speedo indicating just slightly over 130... didnt haver any more go in it tho as the engine dies out just after ~6300 & looses power

thats why was asking about ratios & such, but i found a program which will work out speeds & such to tyre/wheel size & ratios of gearbox... so my speedo seems pretty accurate then me thinks! worked it out seperate to 132.7mph @ 6300rpm

jesus christ your engine must have been screaming!?? 5500 is the highest id had mine in fifth..... 120 on the clock so i say 115.....

still, the maths add up & also got one of the maths teachers where i work to confirm it & he said exactly the same!

tested mine last nite around 105 at 5k at 135 its about 6750
