Rear brakes have jammed on the car. It drove fine on a 80 mile journey on tuesday night and tonight when i try to reverse out the drive it humps up as if the hand brake is on. help

They can't be on all that hard, mine did this a few times before I changed the rear shoes, you can sometimes drive out of it, failing that whip the wheel off and give the drum a few taps with a block of wood, see if that does anything for it.
I'd recommend an inspection in the very least, its usually a good indication that the shoes are on the way out.

mine did this, they were cleaned in the service and now there fine, shoes were all fine it was just dust build up, take em apart and clean em out...

Pair of shoes is like 26 quid. While its in bits you may as well throw some on.

I had whole new rear brake set up 8 months ago.
I had tried rocking it gently to free it. I tried tapping the hub with a hammer.
Im not so sure its the shoes now. As they would not lock the wheel this hard.
Could it be the bearing has seized?

mine locked on occasionly i just drove forwards and it cracked free

Its just dust build up and with the cold damp weather at the mo it kinds sets... take the wheel off, let off h break and hit the drum with a hammer till it starts movin

Would it set so hard sitting for 2 days?
I have a mate who is a mechanic im hoping he can have a gander at it later today.

i had to drive the veccy for about 200 yards before the rear brakes(drivers side)would free off.got a bit of a flat spot lol

The springs holding the shoes together/away from where they make contact have been known to snap before, meaning 1 of the rear brakes are always on

Whayhay! Sorted.
One good hard whack to the back of the drum and she is away.
They must have been grubby as hell cos it took a few sharp brake tests to smooth them out
