plug the gfx card into the agp slot, then go into the bios and disable the onbaord graphics and ensure you set the primary graphics to be AGP

the only thing you can do is buy a PCI graphics card or upgrade your m/board, pci wont be very good though, and you wont be able to upgrade your motherboard in those dells either as they wont take a standard atx motherbaord, ul have to buy a new shell

The best thing to do is to get a new case, new motherboard and new graphics card, a pci card prolly wont work with hl2 as the engine needs transform and lighting etc

its a PCI-Express slot i believe
so just get a PCI-E graphics card (its the new interface, better than AGP etc etc)

But phone dells support or do a google on the mobo's model number etc to double check
