my engine management is on all the time. and when i accelerate the car or keep it at high revs, the car is fine. if i keep the car at a steady slow speed, it feels like it misfires so the whole car kagaroos down the road. sometimes, when the car's idling, the engine is revving up and down slightly. what could it be?

If it is the egr then just blank it off as you dont need it anyway. But more than likely the ICV or AFM

Happened with mine down here in Oz. It's the petrol octane rating. I ran mine on so-called ''premium unleaded'' (Oz marketing pleb speak for high-octane petrol) and the light kept coming on after a period high revs, and I had a flat-spot around 3000 revs.
I pestered the local station and they finally admitted their ''premium'' petrol was only 95 octane, and was 15 per cent ethanol (legal maximum in OZ in 10 per cent).
Have changed to Shell Optimax (97 octane) since and had no further probs. Haven't seen light come on since.
