surface rust

best way to get rid of it and what to use to stop it coming back??

then primer paint etc i know about

rub it down mate back to metal n filler over ot smooth it off high build primer rub then paint
only way to stop it is get a new panel it will always come back thru eventually mate

its in a out of the way place so not too bad
and has kinda started on rear arch so ill rub it down

Grind all the rust out, then Etch prime over the bear metal. Then fill over the etch primer and then go about priming and painting as normal.

ive got a bit of rust on the bottom of my boot, if i wereto rub it down would i have to paint the full boot?

if you wanted a good match id say yes you can blend it in but its hard to do

i sanded mine down till got rid of as must rust as possible, used wire brush for pitted bits, then use a rust treatment, can't remember the stuff i got but it change's colour when it reacts with the rust, then primer that
