how have people done it? glue on, then use fibreglass matt over the top then blend that?

i'd just bond em flush the best u can, if u smooth em into bodywork the heating temps will be different to original bodywork, good chance of cracks

i'd put loads of tigerseal on the reverse of the arch then bolt back on. then get the plastic filler and smooth in.

i aint a pro mind so i could be miles out
trile and errors the best way

yeah sounds like a good idea, what ill probs do is use trim adheasive aka tigerseal, bolt on inthe places it can be, then use bumper fill in the recess gap then fibreglass mat over the top and about 4 inchs up the door then blend that in, ohwell its worth a try if it cracks i can redo it, lol.

i always do that, lol. only way to learn, i would rather have to do it twice than pay someone hidious amounts of money to do it for me.

can you not make a fibreglass copy of the plastic arch?? would be easier to fix then.

i suppose i could cover the existing ones in cling film, cover them with fibreglass mat, wait till it dries, they take the plastci arch off, blend the fibreglass one on then fill up the back with expanding foam and skim over that with fibreglass too.

true, but i cant be arsed with that i only do very low milage anyway and most of that is around town.
