Hi,

I want to fit my own back box when I get it.

Do I need new bushes(?) that go on the hanger bit?

Do I need a new butterfly clip thing to clip it onto the old exaust pipe bit?

What else do I need apart from a rubber mallet?

Thanks

yep WD40 and a mallet.
You wont need new butterflys unless yours are really knackered, but best to get some new hangers, either vaux or powerflex if u feel flush.

U-bolt, new rubber bushes as you say, hammer, chiesel, junior hacksaw. You need to saw the old U bolt off, and depending on how old the car is, get aggresive with a hammer or angle grinder lol.

sounds like fun!

the Cars 1999 - so coming up to 4 years, but it had a new back box after two so hopefully it'll be nice and easy to take off (yeah right)

How much are the bushes? do Vauxhall stock them or will I need to order them in advance do you tihnk?

Where can I get powerflex ones? Is there any advantage of getting branded ones?

Vaux do have a stock, so ring up. They sell them for a couple of quid in motor stores, same quality.

you dont need a saw!

i have done 3 corsa exhausts now and never once needed a saw. However u may need something to heat up the join, to get the backbox off the centre section as its a git.
Y not get a centre pipe too, be a lot easier.
