What does the rev meter go up to in a 1.2 8v corsa, as i dont have a rev counter, and ive just bought 1.

Also does any1 happen to know at what rpm is the best point to change gear as mine has a shift light?

on a 1.2 16v the redline starts at 6000

i would change at 5500 if i was racing, might be different for an 8v as 16vs like high revs.

4 cylinders and your engine won't rev past around 6500 as it is rev limited by the ecu.

8000 is scary rpm and the engine wuld need strengthening.

no, its not a vauxhall 1, yer its universal, but obveously the revs will only go up 2 6000 on the gauge, most 1's are either 11000 or 10000 rpm

Still ok to use thou, i think

You should be able to feel and hear the drop off in power if you know your car well enough.
