how does it bolt to the car?

i have the alloy mount that bolts to the engine

i also have the rubber type mount that bolts to the chasis>but i dont know how it bolts to the chasis?? the one thats there now looks completely different "8v mount"

It bolts on to the internal side of the wing not the chassis

the rubber and metal mount on a gsi how does it bolt to the car?
as the 8v looks nothing like the mounts ive got for the gsi

you should have a set of 4 bolts for each side,

i have the mount that goes on the engine
that has 3 bolts then its 2 bolts to the rubber<>metal mount and the rubber<>metal mount has 4 holes for bolts


BUT my 8v mount fits in a completly different way has 2 bolts only and they are pointing in a different way

yeah don t use the 8v mount the 16v mount will be different, remove the 8v mounts completely. the 16v mounts fix roughly half way up the internal side of the wing one either side & a lower at the rear of the engine

adam, the 16v mounts are bolted inside the chassis leg though, where-as the 8v mounts are on the outside (like yours)

look in the haynes manual, page 2A-26... My digicam has no batteries atm!

tup i know bu the bolts for the engine are in the same place so itll be ok
