anyone know how i can get more power from 1.4 8v?
i have installed a pipercross induction kit and a Rage back box.
anything else i can do?
i cant afford the insurance to replace the engine

is it a multipoint injection engine? if not then its not worth it for the money!

Twin Carbs (40s).
Exhaust manifold
Flow the head and the carbs
de-cat, full exhaust
uprated cam
cam pullie

Should be seeing over 110bhp then from teh 82bhp multipoint unit.

yeah its a multi point injection,

cool thats well more than i thought i could get. got no idea what it is at the mo

i fitted the induction kit, when i took out the old air box it had a red wire pluged into it, anyone know what that is and if its ok left hanging loose?

the red wire is for the valve on the sude of the airbox. Seal it up and place it somewhere safe in the engine. are u sure its MPI

i think its an MPI, how can i tell the difference between MPI and SPI?

yeah its still a spi unit, just has a different design thingy on top of the throttle body.

not really, u can throw money at it and not gain much. piper cams will gain u 5-6bhp, but its only 60bhp to start with so u may aswell save up and get a 1.6 16v or 2.0ltr when u can afford the insurance
