I bought myself a amps and a HU, and i was trying to test it at home. I got a adaptor which should giving out 12v. which wires do i need to connet the HU to make it on? there are 4 cables (black,yellow,red and blue) Also cant turn the amps on as well (B+,GND and REM) cheers

have u got the lead that comes out of the headunit to amp there should be 3 cables red, white and my other one is blue my blue one sends a signal to the amp when the headunit is switched on which turns the amp on

i cant even turn the HU on. dont know which wires to connet.

ok mate...
the red and the yellow need to be connected to a 12V+ supply as these are the memory+ and ignition+ wires when installed in the car.
the black wire goes to -ve ground.
the blue wire from your headunit runs to the REM connection on your amp. this is the wire that tells your amp to turn on.
the amp needs a + and - supply to its relative terminals.
