The battery light came on on the dash, the speedo, tachometer and stuff just stopped working, lights and electrics are fine. Car is still running fine.
Check the log book and it siad thealternator has gone getting that checked tonight, but seems a bit strange if the car is still running since friday night. an ideas

if its the altinator the dials will all pack in and the engine will stop running shortly after, put a multi meter on it, or take it off and get it tested!

how old is the battery? my altinator went and the car broke down within 30miles, that was with no lights on, just my radio

battery is as old as the car 4 yrs. the windows still work and the aircon and its still running
