Ive just got back from the garage where i was adjusting my FK konigsport coilovers with the guy when we came across a problem

On the front coilovers there are two large nuts that you adjust up and down as to where you want the ride height, i wanted mine quite low but when we put the wheel on there is only a couple of MM between wheel and shock and therefore the nuts that go around the shock cant go any further than the top of the tyre meaning the car is not low enough

Anyone had this problem or know how to help

The only thing we can come up with is to put a spacer on, but then it will probably rub on the arch, anyone help!!!!!!!

grind the nuts down slightly? this is done on my avos so they dont rub, had to put 3mm spacers on the back tho! u shud be ok with a 3mm spacer on it tho without any rubbing, how low u wanna go and what size wheels?

With grinding still wont be enough room, there is only just a few mm, cant even get little finger between the threaded shock and wheel plus the extra few mm of the nut even grinded down would rub

Dont need anything on the back the back is perfect, well almost

Ive got 16's on 195/40 rubber, wanna go as low as the g-max -60mm was so abbout 60-70mm

if u have et 49 wheels i doubt that 3mm spacers will rub, im down 65mmish on the front and i have 15" et49 wheels, there is enuff room for spacers, mine u u have 16" could be a close one!

if i did have et49 wheels then im not joking you i reackon they would be touching the shocks

your fronts will be fine with spacers, ive got et 40 16's down 60mm and they are close to the arch but not on it. and never touch it.

i ordered these and pvd told me they would not fit a corsa or nova due to this problem! so i ordered the fk 60/40 kit which is on its way at the mo

I was NOT told this when i ordered them

I got them from BAT and i phoned them and they said they had never had any problems

i think in this case u need to contact fk direct and ask thier opinion and then if they say they dont fit get back on to bat for some sort of explanation

I phoned PVD but there doesnt seem to be a FK office in England only germany, i migth try and e-mail them

I think the problem is that my wheels are 7in wide and the fk people probably tested them on 5.5in factory wheels or something

i e-mailed FK yesterday and have had quick replies and have given them some info and they are doing some testing and will get back to me on monday

Have to say they have been very very good and helpful witht the guy e-mailing me back as soon as he can

Lets just hope they can help me in some was

I just got an e-mail back from FK saying:

Hello !

Sorry for replying so late, but i had a customer here this morning !

I was discussing your problem with our engineer on Friday. So you need a
minimum clearance between tyre and spring/locking nut of 10mms. If this is
not given, then you need to add wheelspacers. We tested this kit for the TUV
certificate with a offset 49mm rim, but it was no 7inch rim. Obviously in
germany different tyre and rim sizes are popular than they are in the UK. So
far i have had no complaint about this suspension , all users are happy so
far ! So, please contact David from BAT again to get some FK wheel spacers !

So it looks like im gonna have to get spacers

I really didnt want to as i reackon il get rubbing now I should of just kept to the £200 G-max and forgot about the £775 FK stuff

Oh well i have learnt a lesson just an expensive one thats all
